MSU HealthTeam would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest faculty member, Dr. Stacie Demel. Dr. Demel is a 2010 graduate of The Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine’s, DO, PhD program. She joins the Departments of Neurology & Ophthalmology and Pharmacology & Toxicology as an Assistant Professor. She will be seeing patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke in her outpatient clinics and with the Cerebrovascular and Stroke Division in the hospital. In addition, Dr. Demel will be conducting both clinical and laboratory research in the areas of gender differences in stroke and stroke genetics. Dr. Demel joins our multi-specialty group as a board-certified neurologist. She accompanies 260 multi-specialty providers who perform cutting-edge research, teach medical and nursing students and provide exceptional care to the Greater Lansing community.
